Champagne Castelnau celebrated its role as the official Champagne of Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O), organisers of the Tour de France and other cycling events last month as the iconic Tour de France made its way to the Champagne region for the first time in five years. The peloton arrived in Epernay on Monday 8th July and left Reims, the home of Champagne Castelnau, on Tuesday 9th July.
A sea of guests and employees dressed in Castelnau branded yellow t-shirts waved on the riders as they zoomed passed one of Castelnau's facilities in the village of Chamery. Champagne Castenau's flagship cuvée Brut Réserve NV was served at the end of each stage of the Tour de France every day of the famous three week race from limited edition Siècle Jaune sleeved bottles.
2019 marked the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the emblematic Yellow Jersey that highlights the winners of the most renowned cycling race in the world.
