France’s largest Champagne brand has joined forces with us to secure their on-trade presence throughout the UK, with immediate effect.
The UK, where on-trade channels account for 40% of the country's Champagne sales, has become an increasingly enviable and important market to be in. Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte Managing Director Christophe Juarez said of the new distribution deal "We hope to build good on-trade distribution thanks to the dedication and expertise of both our companies. I sincerely believe that CWA can take Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte to the next level as far as awareness and market presence are concerned. Our existence in the UK was, of late, exclusively confined to retail. Our job is to share our savoir-faire with consumers who really appreciate fine champagnes – just like in other parts of the world where we perform well."
As we have become increasingly recognised for our experience in the on-trade and in particular our experience in the Champagne business Keith Isaac MW, our general manager said of the new relationship "Champagne has always been at the heart of our business success and this new collaboration with Nicolas Feuillatte cements our position in the Champagne market within the UK. We are confident in the wines and the opportunities and exposure that this venture will bring us to drive sales forward together."
We believe that it is the first time that two such major Champagne cooperatives have decided to work together in this way and we have added a specialist on trade national account manager to our team to help establish the brand into this competitive sector from day one.
Founded in 1976 in the heart of the Champagne vineyards, Nicolas Feuillatte is the youngest of the large Champagne houses, and the biggest growers’ Champagne brand. It embodies the commitment and passion of its 4,500 wine growers spread across the entire appellation, within a cooperative structure as the Centre Vinicole - Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte.
