In Imbibe's Luxury Review, the question was "to oak or not?" 

In a discussion of Champagne's use of oak, and its apparent rise in popularity compared to wine, Champagne Castelnau's Hors Catégorie was mentioned. 

"The purpose of Champagne is to add weight, richness and complexity." Castelnau chooses Argonne oak "for ageing part of the Pinot Noir in its serious, structured Hors Catégorie."
