Rosé masterclass: Here’s how to pair rosé champagne with food - June 2019

The Champagne Bureau UK recently hosted a masterclass in rosé champagnes over a three-course canapé lunch at Vivi in London. 

At the event the attendees tried six brut rosé champagnes that were chosen to show a wide range of styles. 

Sam Wylie-Harris wrote about the event for Xposé.ie and mentioned Castelnau for "its freshness and elegance." It "tasted delicious with the crab" which was one of three cold canapés and served with spiced avocado. 

Wylie-Harris concluded by saying:

"There’s a rosé revolution going on out there and I could happily pop the corks from dawn ’til dusk. Rosé champagne with smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for breakfast, crab cakes at lunchtime and a pinot dominant style with succulent pork for dinner. Just need to win the lottery."
